Weekend in Misamis Oriental

I am not thinking.. Zzz.

These past few weeks, there were loads of projects worked lately, busy, bit stressful, giving me less time to rest. It was cluttered and needs to sort them out and somehow I felt a bit lonely. Am I walking too fast that I left everybody behind? Or did I just turned somewhere and was actually lost? Was it just my time that moves so fast that I wasn’t able to catch up?

Thinking about what to do on weekends – work on pending projects, checking todo lists, errands, biking and going out somewhere? What’s new?

Though I missed another weekend pre-climb to Malasag for the D2K climb, I’m grateful our hardworking team decided to take a weekend get-together at Duka Bay Resort, which is just 95 kilometers or about 2 hours smooth ride away from Cagayan de Oro City. We left the city before noon and took our lunch at Kainan by The Sea, one of the seaside restaurants in Talisayan, Misamis Oriental.

Duka Bay Resort in Medina, a municipality after Talisayan, is famous for its water activities such as scuba diving, snorkling, boating, stream fishing, and ideal for family picnics and recreation. We stayed at Villa Sophia, one of the premises found along the beach, a very ideal place to unwind, catching up things and closing gaps between friends and families.

If I could tell the story in words, I wouldn’t need to lug around a camera. ~Lewis Hine.

One of the favorite activities I did was feeding while swimming with different kinds of fishes. Equipped with life vest, swimfins and a snorkel will let you experienced the amazing fish sanctuary just 500 meters away from the shore and I never thought of finding Nemo.

Swimming is like flying. At some time, everything went slow and my cluttered mind was at peace, while looking below the depths, amazed by these creatures and felt like I was welcomed to their water world.

Spending the weekend in waters after a busy, stressful weeks somehow dispense our inner thoughts and feelings to these outlets.

Nice article dude. Duka Bay Resort has become a place I can really boast and be proud of. After all, I was born in that town (Medina). The Pelaez’ family’s decision to develop the place was just perfect and should place Medina back in the world map in no time. I see that they’ve set up a website called dukabayresort-tours.com. I am not an expert at web design but I think they should lighten up on those large bold text that occupy the whole page and instead put more pictures on display. Pictures, after all tell more than words. Or maybe, that’s how it works with commercial sites(?).
