Help Cagayan De Oro Flash Flood 2011

Floods triggered by Tropical Storm Sendong (international name: Washi) killed more than 200, left hundreds missing, and displaced thousands of residents here Saturday.

Areas submerged by floods include Barangays Puntod, Macabalan, Lapasan, villages within the downtown area, and Vamenta Subdivision in Barra, Opol, Misamis Oriental. Victims were mostly from Isla de Oro, Cala-Cala and Barangays Consolacion, Macasandig, Kauswagan, Carmen, Canitoan, Iponan, and Balulang.

On ATTACK’s 12th years of outdoor hikes and cross-country mountain biking, experience another mountain biking challenge this coming December 5, Sunday at Gran Europa, Cagayan de Oro City – the Mountain Madness 11. For the 16-kilometer bike trail, riders will come across different challenges from touring rough roads, riding on single tracks and creeks, and stunning view while descending from green hills!

MFAT Summer Safari in Mindanao

I often think about spending the summer by doing the cross-country mountain biking to amazing places such as Bukidnon, Surigao, Davao, Zamboanga, CARAGA, SOCCSKSARGEN and ARMM. I’ve already done epic bike rides last year to Butuan City in CARAGA region, Iligan City in Lanao del Norte, Malaybalay in Bukidnon, and so far my longest bike ride was from Davao to Cagayan de Oro last summer. Mindanao Bloggers Summit 3 in CDO

Basic Mountaineering Course

In preparation for the D2K (Mt. Dulang-dulang to Mt. Kitanglad) Traverse mountain climbing this coming June 12-15, ATTACK decided to organize an event for the benefits of the members – the BMC or basic mountaineering course. Though the group have been into mountaineering for the past years, it would be necessary to have this course where most of the mountaineers here in the country (or even in other countries) serves this as a prerequisite before a major climb.
